Change the back office theme in SeroPOS

The System tab of Business Settings changes how the back office looks: the Classic or Enterprise theme, how many rows tables show, and whether help tooltips appear. Open Settings › Setting (/business/settings), click System, pick a Theme, set Default datatable page entries and Show help text, then click Update Settings. Enterprise is the newer look; Classic keeps the previous one.

Steps

  1. Open the Business Settings page. In the back office sidebar, open Settings and click Setting. This is the Business Settings page at /business/settings, with its tabs down the left and a search box at the top.
  2. Click the System tab. System is the tenth tab in the list on the left.
  3. Pick a theme. Under Theme choose Classic, which keeps the previous design, or Enterprise, the newer corporate theme.
  4. Set rows per table. In Default datatable page entries pick how many rows lists such as products and sales show per page, up to All.
  5. Turn tooltips on or off. Tick Show help text to show the small info icons that explain each field. Untick it once your team knows the screens.
  6. Click Update Settings. Click Update Settings at the bottom of the page. Every tab on this page saves together, so finish any other tab you changed before you click.
  7. Reload the page. Refresh the browser to see the new theme across the back office.

Good to know

The theme is set for the whole business, so everyone who signs in sees the same look. Fields, menus and data are the same in both themes; only the styling changes.

Showing All rows on large lists, such as thousands of products, can make the page slow to load. 25 or 50 rows is a sensible default.

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between Classic and Enterprise?

They are two styles for the same back office. Classic keeps the previous design. Enterprise is the newer corporate theme. Menus, screens and data are identical, so you can switch back at any time from the System tab.

Does the theme change the SeroPOS app?

No. This setting only changes the web back office. The SeroPOS app has its own themes, which you pick on each device from the app's settings.
