Add and manage business locations in SeroPOS

Each store, kitchen or warehouse you run is a business location with its own address, time zone, day-end time, invoice settings, payment methods and daily sales email. Open Settings › Business Locations (/business-location), click Add, fill in the form and click Save. To open a second store with the same menu, pick an existing store in Clone products from.

Steps

  1. Open Business Locations. In the back office sidebar, open Settings and click Business Locations. The list shows every location with its invoice scheme and layouts.
  2. Click Add. Click Add to open Add a new business location. To change a store, click Edit on its row instead.
  3. Enter the name and address. Fill in Name, an optional Location ID, the Address, City, Zip Code, State and Country, and the Mobile, Alternate contact number, Email and Website.
  4. Set the time zone and day end. Pick the location's Timezone and enter its Day end / closing time. A time after midnight, such as 03:00, counts toward the previous date for the daily report and the accounting day-end.
  5. Choose who gets the daily report. In Emails to send report, enter the addresses that should receive this location's daily sales email.
  6. Clone products if this is a new store. To copy another store's products, pick that store in Clone products from.
  7. Pick the invoice settings. Choose the Invoice scheme, Invoice layout for POS and Invoice layout for sale, and a Default Selling Price Group if this store uses different prices.
  8. Set featured products and payments. Choose POS screen Featured Products, then under Payment Options tick the payment methods this store accepts on the POS and the Catalogue and pick a Default Account for each.
  9. Save. Click Save. Use Settings on the row for receipt printing, and the activate or deactivate button to close a location without deleting it.

Plans and extra locations

Standard and Pro each include 1 location. An extra location is added at your plan's price, $30/mo on Standard or $50/mo on Pro. Add the location to your subscription first, then create it here.

Users can be limited to the locations they work at under User Management, so a cashier at one store doesn't see another's sales.

Storefront banners and map position

The form also takes top and middle banner images, which show on the location's online catalogue, and a latitude and longitude you can fill in from the browser's location. These only matter if you use online ordering.

Frequently asked questions

How do I add a second store in SeroPOS?

Add the extra location to your subscription, then open Settings › Business Locations and click Add. Fill in the address, time zone and day-end time, and pick your first store in Clone products from to copy its products. Set the payment methods and invoice layouts, then click Save.

What does Day end / closing time do?

It sets when the location's trading day ends, in the location's own time zone. The daily report email and the accounting day-end use it. A bar that closes at 2 am can set 03:00 so late sales count toward the evening they belong to.

Can I close a location without losing its history?

Yes. Click the deactivate button on the location's row. Its sales, purchases and stock stay in your reports, and you can activate it again later.
