Set up barcode sticker sheets

Barcode settings tell SeroPOS the size and layout of your label paper so labels line up when printed. Open Settings › Barcode Settings (/barcodes) and click Add new setting. Enter a Sticker Sheet setting Name, tick Continous feed or rolls for roll labels, and enter the sizes in inches: margins, Width of sticker, Height of sticker, Paper width, Paper height, Stickers in one row, the gaps and No. of Stickers per sheet. Click Set as default on the one you use most.

Steps

  1. Open Barcode Settings. In the sidebar, open Settings and click Barcode Settings, then Add new setting.
  2. Name it. Enter a Sticker Sheet setting Name, such as 40 x 30 mm roll, and a Sticker Sheet setting Description.
  3. Roll or sheet. Tick Continous feed or rolls for a label printer roll. Leave it unticked for A4 or Letter sticker sheets.
  4. Enter the sticker size. In inches, enter Width of sticker and Height of sticker, plus Additional top margin and Additional left margin.
  5. Enter the paper layout. Enter Paper width, Paper height (for sheets), Stickers in one row, Distance between two rows, Distance between two columns and No. of Stickers per sheet.
  6. Save and test. Click Save, then print one page from Print Labels to check alignment. Adjust the margins if labels drift.
  7. Set a default. Tick Set as default so Print Labels selects it automatically.

Measuring

Measure with a ruler and convert millimetres to inches by dividing by 25.4. A 50 mm wide label is about 1.97 inches. For sheets, the label maker's product code usually lists label size, gaps and labels per sheet.

Frequently asked questions

Why are my labels printing off the stickers?

The sizes or margins don't match the paper, or the browser is scaling the page. Set browser print scale to 100% with no margins, then adjust Additional top margin and Additional left margin in small steps.

Can I keep settings for different label sizes?

Yes. Add a setting for each paper you use, such as a roll for shelf tags and an A4 sheet for stickers. Choose the right one in the Barcode setting box on Print Labels.
