Steps
- Open Prices. In the back office sidebar, click HMS, then Prices. Or click Save and add price when saving a room.
- Choose the room type. Pick the room type in Set price for.
- Enter weekday prices. Under Set different price for each day of the week, enter the Default price per night for Monday through Sunday.
- Add guest-based prices. Click Add Number of Guests Special Price and choose the number of Adults and Childrens.
- Set the special price per day. Enter that combination's price for each day of the week.
- Add more combinations. Repeat for each mix of adults and children the room can take, then save.
How the price is chosen
When you add a room to a booking, SeroPOS uses the price for each night's day of the week. If a special price matches the booking's number of adults and children, it's used instead of the default. A Friday and Saturday stay therefore picks up your weekend rates automatically.
Discounts and extras
For seasonal or promotional prices, use HMS › Coupons rather than changing the base rates. Charges like breakfast or parking belong in HMS › Extras. Hotel (room booking) is an add-on module. The HMS item shows in the back office sidebar when your subscription includes it and your role has the hotel permissions.
Frequently asked questions
How do I charge more on weekends?
Enter higher prices for Friday and Saturday in the default price per night. Every booking uses the price for each night's weekday.
Can I charge more for an extra guest?
Yes. Add a special price for that number of adults and children. Bookings with that guest mix use the special price instead of the default.
How do I offer a seasonal discount?
Create a coupon in HMS › Coupons for the room types and dates of the offer, and apply it to bookings. Your normal prices stay unchanged.
