Steps
- Tap Help. On a screen with the ? Help button (Help for this page), tap it. The Help panel slides in.
- Search the page. Type in Search this page… to jump to a field or button.
- Translate. Tap Translate and pick a language. The panel shows Translating… and then the topic in that language.
- Print. Tap Print to send the topic to your default printer as a HELP GUIDE slip.
- Close. Tap Close to return to the screen you were on.
Languages
The Help panel translates into 11 languages: English, Español, Français, Deutsch, Italiano, Português, 中文, 日本語, العربية, हिन्दी and Русский. Arabic reads right to left. The app screens themselves are in English, so translated help is a good way to train staff who are more comfortable in another language.
Translations are fetched the first time and then kept on the device. Without internet, a topic that has not been translated before shows in English.
Frequently asked questions
Can I change the app language to French or Spanish?
Back office in 16 languages; in-app help in 11; app screens in English. Français and Español are among the help languages, from the Translate option in the Help panel.
Why won't help print?
Help prints on the default receipt printer. If you see No default printer set or Printer not connected, open Drawer › Add/Edit Printer, star a default printer and run a test print.
