Shoe stores in SeroPOS

Sizes and widths

Use variation templates for sizes and widths, so each pair has its own SKU, barcode and stock under one style.

Stock by location

The Stock Report and product stock details show how many of a size each store holds.

Box labels

Print a barcode label for every box from the back office, with the style, size and price on it.

Transfers between stores

Send a pair from one location to another with a stock transfer, so a customer can collect it locally.

Returns at the till

Switch a cart line to Return for an exchange, or refund a past sale from Recent Transactions.

Clearance rules

Discount rules mark down last season's styles by brand or category between two dates.

Every size of every style

Create a variation template for sizes with values such as 7, 7.5, 8, 8.5 and up, or include the width in the value, such as 9 W or 10 Wide, when a style comes in more than one. Build each style as a variable product and every size gets its own SKU, barcode, cost, price and stock. Reports can still roll up by style, brand and category.

Variations can be dragged into order, so sizes sit in the sequence customers expect. At the till, tapping the style opens Select Variation with the sizes listed; scanning the box adds the exact size. The Product Sell Report shows units sold per variation, which is how you learn that the 8.5 sells three times as fast as the 11.

Find the pair at another store

When a customer wants a size you don't have on the shelf, the back office shows stock for each location. The Stock Report filters by location, category and brand, and a product's stock details list what is on hand at each store. If another location has it, create a stock transfer, move the pair over and call the customer when it arrives.

A transfer records the date, from and to locations, the products and an optional shipping charge, and it can't be edited once it is Completed, so the stock count at both stores stays honest. Staff can be limited to their own location, while managers see every store. The transfer prints as a packing slip for whoever drives the box across town.

Box labels and receiving

Shoe boxes are scanned, so every box needs a barcode. When a delivery arrives, enter it as a purchase with the sizes and quantities, then send those products to Print Labels. Choose what prints, such as style, size and price, pick the sticker setting that matches your labels and preview before printing from a back-room computer.

If a supplier's boxes already carry a UPC or EAN-13, enter that barcode on the variation and scan it directly. Purchases record the cost of each size, update the selling price if you choose and raise stock in the location that received them. Purchase returns send faulty pairs back to the supplier with the stock adjusted.

Exchanges, clearance and the regulars

Shoes are tried on at home and come back a half size out. On the till, add the new size, add the returned pair and switch its line to Return, and the customer pays only the difference. A full refund runs from Recent Transactions, with card refunds sent to the terminal, and refund rights can be limited by role.

Discount rules handle clearance on last season's styles by brand or category between two dates, and stop on their own. Customer profiles keep a buyer's history, which helps when a regular asks for the same running shoe in a new colour. Reward points can give returning customers something back, with earn and redeem rules you set and an expiry period if you want one.

Frequently asked questions

Can SeroPOS handle shoe sizes and widths?

Yes. Create a variation template with your sizes, and include the width in the value where a style comes in more than one, such as 9 W. Each variation has its own SKU, barcode, price and stock, and the till asks for the size when you tap the style.

Can I see if another store has a size in stock?

Yes, in the back office. The Stock Report filters by location and product, and product stock details show quantities at each store. If the pair is elsewhere, a stock transfer moves it to the store where the customer will collect it.

How do I print labels for shoe boxes?

Select the products and quantities in Print Labels, choose what appears on the label and pick a barcode sticker setting. You can preview, then print from a browser on a computer with a label printer. The till app itself does not print labels.

Does SeroPOS handle shoe exchanges?

Yes. Add the new pair, add the returned pair as a Return line, and the sale settles the difference on one receipt. Stock goes back up for the returned size, and full refunds can be done from Recent Transactions with manager approval if you want it.

What does a multi-store shoe retailer pay?

Each location is billed at its plan price: Standard is $30 a month and Pro is $50 a month per location,. Users come with the plan, three on Standard and five on Pro, plus packs of three more for $10 a month.
