POS for gift shops
Gift shops carry hundreds of small items from dozens of suppliers, and most of them need a price sticker. SeroPOS lets you load the catalogue from a spreadsheet, print the labels from the back office and see what is running low before the holiday rush.
Gift shops in SeroPOS
Spreadsheet import
Fill in the product template and import hundreds of items with prices, categories and opening stock in one go.
Barcode labels
Print price stickers from the back office with name, price and barcode on the label size you use.
Low-stock alerts
Give each item an alert quantity and the dashboard lists what to reorder.
Bulk editing
Change prices, categories or locations for many products at once instead of one at a time.
Open-price items
Ring up a one-off consignment piece at a typed price without creating a product.
Seasonal menus
Group holiday stock into its own POS menu and switch it on when the season starts.
Load the whole shop from a spreadsheet
Typing in four hundred mugs, cards and candles is nobody's idea of a good weekend. Download the product template from the back office or the till's Admin tools, fill in names, SKUs, categories, brands, prices and tax, and import the file. Opening stock can be imported separately with quantities per location, so the shop is ready to sell on the first day.
Once products are in, Bulk Edit lets you change prices, categories and other fields across many items at once, and Bulk change of locations moves items between your stores' catalogues. Duplicate a product to add a similar one quickly, and mass deactivate last year's seasonal lines rather than deleting their sales history.

Price stickers without a pricing gun
Print Labels in the back office takes a list of products and quantities and prints a sticker for each, showing the name, price and a barcode, and optionally the business name. Set the sticker size in Barcode Settings, as a continuous roll or a sheet of labels, and preview before printing. Labels print from a browser on a computer connected to your label printer.
Every product gets a SKU, generated with your prefix if the supplier didn't provide a barcode. At the till, scanning a sticker adds the item, so you are not reading tiny handwriting at the counter in December. Products you sell often but can't sticker, such as wrapping, can sit as buttons on the product grid.
Get ahead of the holidays
Give each product an alert quantity, and the back office dashboard shows a Product Stock Alert list of everything at or below it. Lead time and reorder quantity sit on the product as well, so you can order early from the suppliers who need it. The Trending Products report shows last season's best sellers by category and date range.
Several POS menus let you keep a Holiday menu with ornaments, advent calendars and gift wrap, and switch the till to it when the season starts. Menu pills appear on the till when there are two or more menus, so staff can still reach the everyday stock. Discount rules run the January clearance on a set start and end date.
Tourists, consignment and the till
Gift shops near attractions take a lot of cards. SeroPOS sends card sales straight to integrated terminals from Global Payments, Moneris or Gravity Payments, and can run on a Global Payments T650P handheld for a second till by the door. Open-price items handle a one-off artist piece at a typed price, and the sale still shows in your reports.
If you sell local makers' work on commission, supplier records and the Supplier & Customer report show what you bought from each, and the Product Sell Report lists what sold in a date range. Customer profiles and reward points work for locals who come back, and receipts can be printed or skipped.
Frequently asked questions
How do I add hundreds of products to a gift shop POS?
Use the product import. Download the template, fill in each item's name, SKU, category, price and tax, and upload it. Opening stock has its own import with quantities per location. After that, Bulk Edit changes prices or categories for many items at once.
Can SeroPOS print price stickers?
Yes, from the back office. Choose products and quantities in Print Labels, decide what prints such as name, price and barcode, and pick your sticker size from Barcode Settings. Printing runs from a browser on a computer with a label printer, not from the till app.
Will it warn me before items sell out?
Yes. Set an alert quantity on each product. The back office dashboard lists products at or below that level, and the Stock Report shows current stock by category and location. Lead time and reorder quantity fields help you plan the order.
Can I sell consignment items?
You can add consignment pieces as products from a supplier and track what sold with the Product Sell Report, or ring a one-off piece as an open-price item. SeroPOS does not calculate consignment payouts automatically, so the split is worked out from the report.
What does a gift shop POS cost with SeroPOS?
Standard is $30 a month for one location and three users, with unlimited products. Pro is $50 a month with five users and advanced back-office reports. Both have a 14-day free trial with no card to start. A second shop is added at the plan price.
