POS for electronics stores
Every phone, laptop and console you sell has a serial or IMEI number, and the customer will quote it back to you when something goes wrong. SeroPOS records that number on the sale, prints the warranty on the invoice and shows which store has the unit in stock.

The number that matters on every unit
On the product form, turn on Enable product description, IMEI or Serial Number, or Track IMEI/Serial in the till's Admin products. When the unit is sold, the cashier records its IMEI or serial on the sale line, and the invoice layout can print it under the product. When a customer comes back with a fault, search the sale and you have the exact unit and date.
Invoice layouts also show the warranty, brand and SKU if you want them. Users can be limited to their own location, with a maximum discount percentage each, and price or discount changes at the till can need a manager's password. The Activity Log records who changed what in the back office.
Warranties that print themselves
Create warranties with a name, description and duration in days, months or years, such as 1 Year Manufacturer or 90 Days Store, and attach the right one to each product. The invoice can print the warranty name, the date it expires and its description, so the customer's paperwork is on the receipt they already have.
If you sell an extended plan as a separate item, add it as a product and sell it on the same receipt. The Product Sell Report shows how many plans each staff member sold, and the Sales Representative Report totals sales and commission per person if you pay on attachment rates.
- Warranty name, duration and description
- Warranty expiry printed on the invoice
- Extended plans sold as items
- Sales and commission by staff member
Stock across stores and in the back room
The Stock Report filters by location, category, brand and unit, with stock value at cost and selling price. When one store sells its last unit of a model, create a stock transfer from another location, and stock moves when the transfer is Completed. Racks, rows and positions per location help staff find a boxed unit in the stockroom.
Purchases record supplier deliveries with unit cost and can update selling prices when costs change. The Items Report follows each item from purchase to sale, showing the supplier, purchase date and price against the customer, sell date and selling price, which is useful for high-value stock and for warranty claims with the supplier.
Repairs, trade-ins and the service desk
Many electronics stores also fix what they sell. The Repair add-on module gives you job sheets with the device type, brand, model, serial number, passcode or pattern lock, a pre-repair checklist, the reported problem and photos. Technicians see their own jobs, statuses can trigger an SMS to the customer, and customers check progress on the public repair status page.
Returned units go back into stock through a sell return against the original invoice, and stock adjustments record damaged or demo units with a reason. For customers who buy often, such as small offices, a customer group can carry a standing discount or its own price group, and invoices can be issued on pay terms.
Frequently asked questions
Does SeroPOS track IMEI numbers?
Yes. Turn on IMEI or serial tracking for the product, and the IMEI or serial of each unit sold is recorded on the sale line. Invoice layouts can print it on the receipt, so you can find the exact unit and sale date when the customer returns.
Can the receipt show the warranty period?
Yes. Create a warranty with its duration and attach it to the product. The invoice can print the warranty name, expiry date and description beside the item. Extended warranty plans can also be sold as their own products on the same receipt.
Can I see stock at each of my stores?
Yes. The back office Stock Report filters by location, and product stock details show what each store holds. Stock transfers move units between locations with a status and a print-out, and users can be limited to their own store while managers see all of them.
Does SeroPOS handle device repairs?
With the Repair add-on module, yes. You get job sheets with device details, passcode or pattern, checklist, photos and an estimate, technician assignment, status updates by SMS and a public status page where customers look up their repair by job number.
