POS for beauty supply stores
A beauty supply store stocks a foundation in thirty shades, a shampoo in three sizes and a long tail of products that salon professionals and regular shoppers both buy. SeroPOS tracks every shade, rewards repeat customers and warns you before a best seller or a batch runs out.

Shades and sizes
Every shade or size is a variation with its own SKU, barcode, price and stock under one product.
Reward points
Regulars earn points on each visit and redeem them at payment, with rules you set.
Low-stock alerts
The back office dashboard lists every shade or product at or below its alert quantity.
Expiry on cosmetics
Record expiry dates on each batch and choose whether to stop selling before the date.
Salon pro pricing
Give licensed professionals their own price list through a customer group.
Brand promotions
Discount rules put a brand or category on sale between two dates and stop on their own.
Thirty shades, one product
Create a variation template for shades with values such as 110 Fair, 220 Light and 330 Medium, and another for sizes such as 250 ml and 1 L. Build each line as a variable product, and every shade or size gets its own SKU, barcode, cost, price and stock. The till asks for the variation when you tap the product, and scanning the box adds the exact shade.
The Product Sell Report shows units by variation, so you can tell which shades sell and which have sat on the shelf since spring. Variations can be dragged into order, so the shade picker on the till follows the order on your display stand. Barcode labels for testers or loose items print from the back office with the shade name on them.
Regulars and salon professionals
Reward points give retail customers a reason to come back. Set the amount spent per point, the minimum order to earn, the maximum points per order, the value of a point, redemption limits and an expiry period. Points are redeemed at payment, and each customer's profile shows points earned and redeemed alongside their sales history.
Licensed stylists and salons often get their own prices. Create a selling price group with professional prices, or a customer group with a percentage off, and add salon customers to it. Their prices apply as soon as they are on the sale. A customer custom field can store a licence number if you need to check it.

Stock, alerts and expiry
Give each product an alert quantity and the dashboard's Product Stock Alert table shows everything at or below it. Lead time and reorder quantity on the product help you order before a popular shade sells out. Purchases record supplier deliveries with cost and raise stock in the location that received them.
Cosmetics and hair colour have shelf lives. Turn on product expiry, and purchase lines take a lot number and expiry date. Choose to keep selling, or to stop selling a set number of days before the date. The Stock Expiry Report lists what is left in each lot, and expired units are written off with a stock adjustment, so the loss is on record.
Promotions and the counter
Discount rules put a brand or category on promotion with a fixed or percentage discount between a start and end date, at the locations you choose. Rules have a priority, and they can apply within price groups and customer groups too, so a salon's price isn't discounted twice by accident.
At the counter, card payments go to integrated terminals from Global Payments, Moneris or Gravity Payments. Testers and damaged stock can be recorded with a stock adjustment and a reason, and the Stock Adjustment Report totals what those adjustments cost you each month. Receipts can be printed, skipped or shared, whichever the customer prefers.
Frequently asked questions
Can a beauty store POS track shades?
Yes. Create a shade variation template and build each line as a variable product. Every shade has its own SKU, barcode, price and stock, the till asks for the shade when you tap the product, and scanning adds the exact one. Sales reports show units by shade.
Can I give salon professionals different prices?
Yes. Set up a selling price group with professional prices, or a customer group with a percentage discount, and add salon customers to it. When one of them is on the sale, their pricing applies automatically. A custom field can store their licence number.
Does SeroPOS track expiry dates on cosmetics?
Yes. With product expiry turned on, each purchase line records the lot and expiry date. You can choose to stop selling a number of days before expiry. The dashboard alert and the Stock Expiry Report show what is about to expire.
How do reward points work for beauty customers?
You choose how much a customer spends per point, minimum orders to earn and redeem, points limits per order, what each point is worth and when points expire. Points are earned on sales to named customers and redeemed at payment.
Will it warn me when a shade is running low?
Yes. Each product or variation has an alert quantity. When stock reaches it, the item appears in the Product Stock Alert table on the back office dashboard. The Stock Report gives stock and value by category, brand and location, valued at cost and at selling price.
