Nightly rates by day of the week

In the Hotel add-on, open Prices. For each room type, set a default price per night for each weekday, Monday to Sunday. A city hotel might charge more on weeknights for business travellers; a lakeside B&B might charge more on Friday and Saturday. Either way, the right price is used for each night of a stay.

A three-night booking from Thursday to Sunday is priced at the Thursday, Friday and Saturday rates, so you do not have to work out a blended rate by hand. Review the weekday rates each season and adjust them as demand changes, so your prices keep up with busy and quiet periods without rebuilding anything.

Special prices by number of guests

Some rooms are priced per guest rather than per room. Special pricing sets a price by the number of adults and children, so a family room costs more with four guests than with two. Set the combinations you offer and the price for each. It suits family rooms and suites.

When you add a room to a booking with the number of adults and children, the matching price is used. Maximum adults, children and occupancy on the room type tell staff what each room can hold when they build the booking. Set prices for the combinations you actually offer. Others are not needed.

  • Price by number of adults
  • Price by number of children
  • Maximum occupancy set on the room type

Extras

Extras are things guests add to a stay: breakfast, parking, a late checkout, a pet fee, an airport transfer. Under Extras, add each one with a name and price, and choose how it is charged: per day, per booking, per person or per day per person. Keep the list short and clearly named.

Breakfast is usually per day per person, parking per day, a cleaning fee per booking and a welcome pack per person. Add extras to a booking and the total works itself out from the dates and the number of guests. Guests see each extra on the booking. Totals update as you go.

Coupons and discounts

Coupons let you run offers without changing your rates. Under Coupons, create a code for a room type and a date range, with a fixed or percentage discount. Give it to a corporate client, a wedding party or a newsletter list, and apply it on the booking when they book.

For one-off reductions, every booking also takes a fixed or percentage discount. Use it for a returning guest, a long stay or a room with a problem. Coupons and discounts show on the booking and in the totals, so the guest sees what they saved. Clear totals avoid disputes at checkout.

Frequently asked questions

Can I charge more on weekends?

Yes. Set a default nightly price for each weekday from Monday to Sunday for each room type. Each night of a booking is priced at that day's rate. Review weekday rates each season to keep them in line with demand.

Can I price a room by the number of guests?

Yes. Special pricing sets prices by the number of adults and children. When you add the room to a booking with its guest count, the matching price is used. Set prices only for the combinations you actually offer, so staff are not left guessing.

How are extras like breakfast charged?

Each extra is charged per day, per booking, per person or per day per person, whichever you choose. Breakfast is usually per day per person, so it scales with nights and guests automatically. Name each extra clearly so guests understand what they are paying for on the booking.

Can I create a promo code for a room type?

Yes. Under Coupons, create a code for a room type and date range with a fixed or percentage discount, and apply it on the booking. Coupons let you run offers without touching your normal room rates, and they can be limited to the dates you choose.

Which plan includes room pricing?

Room pricing, extras and coupons are part of the Hotel add-on module, with bookings, the availability calendar and hotel reports. Ask us about adding it to your plan. Rates and extras are set once per room type, then used on every booking.
