Receipts that carry your brand
A receipt is the last thing a customer takes from your counter. SeroPOS prints it with your logo, your words and your tax details, or sends a link to the invoice instead.
Receipts in SeroPOS
Auto or on request
Print every receipt automatically, or only when the customer asks, with Pay or Pay & Print.
Your branding
Set the logo, heading, two sub-heading lines and footer in Receipt Layout.
Barcode on the receipt
Turn on Print barcode on receipt to make returns and lookups quicker.
Share an invoice link
Send the customer a link to their invoice from Recent Transactions.
Layouts per location
Choose an invoice layout for each location in the back office, from slim 58mm to full-page.
Reprint any time
Reprint the last invoice in QSR Mode, or any recent sale from Recent Transactions.
Printing receipts at the till
Turn on Print Invoice in Settings and every completed sale prints a receipt automatically. Leave it off and staff choose at payment: Pay completes the sale without printing, Pay & Print completes it and prints, and Print prints a copy. In QSR Mode, a Print On or Off toggle on the cart lets the cashier skip the receipt when a customer declines it.
Receipts print on thermal printers connected by network, USB, Bluetooth or the Windows printer list, on 58mm, 72mm or 80mm paper. Most receipts also kick the cash drawer. Enable Cart Print adds a provisional bill before payment, useful for tables that want to check the total before they pay. Pay out slips, kitchen tickets and the Z report print on the same printers.
Making the receipt yours
In the Admin hub, Edit Restaurant (or Edit Store in Retail Mode) holds the business and location name, address, phone, email, website, tax label and tax number, and logo. A live receipt header preview shows how the top of the receipt will look as you type, so you can check spacing and spelling before anything prints.
Receipt Layout sets the rest: choose a layout, then add a heading, two sub-heading lines, a footer and your logo. Turn on Print barcode on receipt to print the invoice barcode at the bottom. Run a sync before editing the layout so the till has the latest settings, and print a test sale to check the result.

Invoice layouts in the back office
The web back office has a full invoice layout designer. Pick a design such as Slim for 80mm paper, Slim 2 for 58mm, or Modern for A4 and Letter, then choose what appears: logo, header text, tax ID, sub-headings, labels for invoice number and dates, product details such as SKU or brand, totals, payments, change returned, total balance due and a footer.
Each business location chooses its own invoice layout for the POS, so two stores can print different footers or tax details. Invoice schemes control the numbering format and prefix, so receipts from each location are easy to tell apart. Location settings also decide whether invoices print automatically after a sale is finalised.
Receipts without paper
Some customers would rather not take paper. From Recent Transactions, Share Invoice sends a link to the invoice using the device's share options, so you can pass it on by text, email or a messaging app. The link opens the invoice in a browser, where the customer can view or print it.
In the back office, notification templates can send a New Sale message by email or text with the invoice link included, and can be set to send automatically on each new sale for customers with contact details on file. For records, every sale can be reprinted later from Recent Transactions or downloaded from the back office as a PDF.
Frequently asked questions
How do I add my logo to SeroPOS receipts?
In the app, open Admin and go to Receipt Layout, then add your logo along with the heading, sub-headings and footer. Your business logo can also be set in Edit Restaurant or Edit Store. Sync first so the till has the latest settings, then print a test receipt.
Can I email or text a receipt instead of printing it?
Yes. Open Recent Transactions, find the sale and use Share Invoice to send a link to the invoice by text, email or another app. In the back office, a New Sale notification template can send the invoice link automatically by email or text.
Can I turn off automatic receipt printing?
Yes. Turn off Print Invoice in Settings, then use Pay & Print only when a customer wants a receipt. In QSR Mode, turn off Print All Invoices in QSR Settings and the cart shows a Print On or Off toggle for each sale.
What paper sizes does SeroPOS support?
SeroPOS prints to 58mm and 80mm thermal printers, and 72mm on USB printers. The back office has slim layouts designed for 80mm and 58mm rolls, plus full-page layouts for A4 and Letter printers when you print invoices from the office.
How do I reprint a receipt?
In QSR Mode, tap Print last invoice under the cart, or use the back arrow to page through previous invoices. On any till, open Recent Transactions from the side drawer, find the sale by invoice number or customer and tap Print Invoice.
