POS for a new business
When you are opening your first shop or restaurant, the POS is one more thing to learn in a month that is already full. SeroPOS walks you through setup step by step, lets you practise on a sample menu and loads your real products from a spreadsheet when you're ready.

Getting Started guide
The first time you open Admin, a guide takes you through categories, taxes, products, staff and payments.
Demo data
Load a sample menu to practise sales, refunds and reports, then remove it in one step.
Import from Excel
Download the product template, fill it in and import your whole catalogue.
Guided tours
Short on-screen tours show where to find customers, start an order and use quick actions.
Help on every screen
A help button opens the article for that screen, and live chat reaches our support team.
Trial with no card
Try every feature free for 14 days before you choose a plan.
Sign up and set up in one sitting
Sign up in the app with your name, email and phone, then set up the business: its name, address, currency, time zone and financial year. Verify the account with a six-digit code and choose a plan to start your 14-day free trial. Nothing is charged today, and no card is needed to start the trial.
The first time you open Admin, the Getting Started guide walks you through the order that works: categories, then units and taxes, then variations and modifiers, then products, then staff, demo data and bulk import, then payments and the printer. You can replay the guide at any time from the Admin screen.

Practise before opening day
Add Demo Data builds a sample menu on the server and syncs it to your till, so you and your staff can ring up sales, split a bill, hold an order, refund a sale and read the daily sales report without touching your real catalogue. When you are done, Remove Demo Data clears it and logs you out ready for the real thing.
Short coach-mark tours play the first time you open the home and sale screens, pointing out where to find customers, how to start an order and where the quick actions live. They can be replayed from the question mark button whenever someone new joins the team. The QSR screen has its own tour covering categories, button styles, the cart, action buttons, search and previous invoices.
Load your products the quick way
If your supplier or old system can give you a spreadsheet, you don't need to type products in one at a time. In the app's Admin tools, Download Excel gives you the product template; fill in names, SKUs, categories, prices and tax, then Import Products. The back office has its own product import, an opening stock import and a contacts import for customers and suppliers.
For restaurants, set up modifier groups and variations first, so sizes and add-ons are ready when the products arrive. For shops, set up units, brands and barcode types. Either way, the till syncs the catalogue after you leave Admin, and the products are ready on every device signed in to that location. Images can be added from the camera or gallery in the app.
Help when you get stuck
Screens with a question mark open the help panel for that screen, which can be searched, translated and printed on the receipt printer (back office in 16 languages; in-app help in 11; app screens in English). The Knowledgebase in the side menu covers the till, the Admin panel and settings, and the whole knowledgebase can be emailed to you as a PDF to read offline.
Live Support in Admin Tools opens a chat with our team, where you can send files and a log, and allow a view-only screen share if you choose. When you're ready to take cards, send us a recent processing statement and we'll quote a rate. The Getting Started guide has a step on saving on payment processing.
Frequently asked questions
What POS should I buy when opening a new business?
Pick one you can set up yourself, try before paying and grow into without switching. SeroPOS has a guided setup, demo data and a 14-day free trial with no card. Standard starts at $30 a month, and Pro adds tools such as recipes, CRM and QuickBooks when you need them.
How long does it take to set up SeroPOS?
A small menu or shop can be set up in an afternoon: sign up, follow the Getting Started guide, and import products from a spreadsheet. Larger catalogues take longer to prepare, but the import itself is quick. Demo data lets staff practise before you open.
Can I practise without real data?
Yes. Add Demo Data builds a sample menu so you can practise sales, refunds, holds and reports. When you are ready, Remove Demo Data clears it. Practising this way also tests your printer and card terminal before opening day, so you find any setup problems while there are no customers waiting.
Do I need a credit card to start the trial?
No. The 14-day free trial starts without a card, and the plan picker says plainly that you won't be charged today. A daily reminder tells you how many trial days are left, and you choose Standard or Pro when you are ready.
What if I need help during setup?
Each documented screen has a help button with the article for that screen, the Knowledgebase covers the till and Admin, and Live Support in Admin Tools opens a chat with our team. You can send a log or allow a view-only screen share during the chat.
