Guided setup from first login
The first time you sign in, SeroPOS opens a Getting Started guide that takes you through the setup in the order that works: categories, units and taxes, variations and modifiers, products, staff, then payments and printers. Short tours show each main screen the first time you see it.
Set up and run it from the till
Real screens from the SeroPOS Windows app. The Getting Started guide takes a new owner through setup in order, and Admin holds the menu, staff, receipts, payments and printers, so day-to-day changes never need the web back office.

From sign-up to first login
Sign-up in the app asks about you, then your business: its name and address, currency, timezone, financial year start and stock accounting method, with an optional logo. You verify your account with a six-digit code, SeroPOS sets up your store, and you choose Standard or Pro to start a 14-day free trial with no card needed.
When the owner signs in for the first time, the app opens Admin with the Getting Started guide. You can work through it in one sitting or come back to it over a few days. You can replay the guide at any time from the Getting Started button in Admin.
The Getting Started steps
The guide follows the order that saves rework. Categories come first, because products need somewhere to live. Units and taxes come next, because every product needs both. Variations and modifiers are set up before products, so you can attach them as you add each item. Following the order means fewer trips back to edit products later.
Then products, with prices, taxes and images. Then staff, along with options to load demo data or import products in bulk from a spreadsheet. Last come payment methods and the printer, so your first test sale prints a real receipt. A successful test sale means you are ready to open.

Tours on the main screens
Coach-mark tours play once on each install the first time you open the main screens. On the tablet home screen, the tour points out where to find or add customers, how to start an order and the quick actions. In QSR Mode, a six-step tour covers categories, button styles, the cart, action buttons, search and previous invoices.
Missed one, or training someone new? Tap the ? button on the home screen, or open Help, to replay the tour. The Getting Started button in Admin replays the guide. Tours are short, so staff can watch them between customers without holding up the queue. Replay them any time. Tours are optional.
Saving on card processing
The last part of the guide is about payment processing. SeroPOS works with integrated card terminals, and the guide explains how to get a quote: send us a recent processing statement at payments@seropos.app and we'll quote a rate. It is worth doing early, before you sign up with a processor.
While your trial runs, a reminder shows how many days are left, with options to choose a plan. If you need a hand at any point, Live Support in Admin, then Tools, puts you in a chat with the support team. Help is never more than a few taps away.
Frequently asked questions
How long does it take to set up SeroPOS?
It depends on the size of your menu or catalogue. The Getting Started guide covers categories, taxes, modifiers, products, staff, payments and printers. Importing products from a spreadsheet, or starting with demo data, speeds things up. Start with demo data if you want to explore before loading your own products.
Can I go back to the setup guide later?
Yes. In the app, open Admin and tap Getting Started to replay the guide. Screen tours can be replayed from the ? button on the home screen or from Help. They are a good refresher for new staff. Replaying takes only a minute.
Do I need a card to start the free trial?
No. Both Standard and Pro start with a 14-day free trial and you will not be charged anything today. Choose a plan before the trial ends to keep going. The trial includes every feature, so you can test Pro before deciding.
In what order should I set up my products?
Categories first, then units and taxes, then variations and modifiers, then products. That way each product can be given its category, unit, tax and modifiers as you add it, instead of editing every product afterwards. It saves going back through every product later.
Can I get help during setup?
Yes. Open Admin, then Tools, then Live Support to chat with the support team. You can send files and logs, and the ? Help panel explains each screen as you go. Help stays available after setup too. The knowledgebase in the drawer has every topic.
