POS for high-volume counters

At a busy counter, every extra tap is multiplied by hundreds of orders an hour. SeroPOS cuts the taps: products on a fixed grid, pay buttons under the cart, quantity typed first, tickets to a kitchen screen and a kiosk to take some of the queue.

What you get

High volume counters in SeroPOS

Quick-service grid

Products sit in fixed cells you arrange, with variations as their own buttons and colours by category.

Pay from the cart

Cash, Debit, Credit and custom tenders sit under the cart, and card sales go straight to the terminal.

Quantity first

Type 3, tap the product and three go on the order, with pay buttons rearranged to match.

Kitchen display

Tickets appear on a kitchen screen with timers, station filters and a bump to serve.

Self-order kiosk

Turn a tablet into a kiosk where customers order and pay by card themselves.

Split at the counter

Split a bill into tenders on a keypad without leaving the sale screen.

A grid built for speed

QSR Mode on a tablet or PC lays your products out as a grid. Choose fixed or sectioned grids, or turn on drag and drop and place products into cells exactly where staff expect them, then save the layout. Variations expand into their own buttons, so Burger - L or Fries - M is one tap. Each category can have its own column count.

Long-press a product for Button Style: colour, font colour, font size, bold and double-height for best sellers. Ask quantity prompts for a number on items usually sold in multiples. A button click sound confirms each tap over a noisy kitchen, and ALL CAPS names help at a glance. Group order puts lower or higher prices first inside a category if that is how your staff think.

Paying without leaving the screen

Under the QSR cart sit the pay buttons: Cash, Debit, Credit and up to seven custom tenders, with Hold, Delivery, Split and Print last invoice in a utility row. Card sales go straight to the integrated terminal with no extra pay screen. Long-press a money button to make the pay buttons and the quantity keypad larger for busy hands.

Quantity First flips the order of work: type the quantity on the keypad, then tap the product. The pay row rearranges to Cash, Debit, Credit and QTY. Split opens a keypad that shows the remaining balance, and each tender button records one part of the payment, so three friends paying different ways takes seconds.

Kitchen display and tickets

KDS Mode turns any tablet or screen running SeroPOS into a kitchen display. Tickets show with counters for on time, attention at eight minutes and late at fifteen. Cooks tick lines as they finish and bump the ticket with SERVE. The All Day panel totals what to cook across every open ticket, and Recall brings back anything bumped in the last two hours.

If you prefer paper, kitchen order tickets print to the right printer by category or product, and they still print when the internet is down. Lines already sent to the kitchen are locked on the till, so an order can't change under the cook without a new ticket. On a resumed hold, the new ticket carries only the items that were added or increased.

Let the kiosk take part of the queue

Kiosk Mode turns a tablet or a PC into a full-screen self-order station. Customers touch to start, browse categories, choose variations and required or free modifiers, review the order and pay by debit or credit on the integrated terminal, then take their receipt. Exiting the kiosk needs an admin or manager login.

Standard at $30 a month includes the full POS with both the QSR and classic layouts, kitchen tickets, receipt printing, the cash drawer and kiosk mode. Pro at $50 adds server and client tills over your own network, which keeps several counter tills working together even when the internet drops.

Frequently asked questions

What makes a POS fast at a busy counter?

Fewer taps per order: products on a fixed grid, variations as their own buttons, pay buttons on the sale screen, quantity entry before the product and card amounts sent to the terminal automatically. SeroPOS QSR Mode is built around those, with a kitchen display and kiosk to spread the load.

Can I put pay buttons on the sale screen?

Yes. In QSR Mode, Cash, Debit, Credit and up to seven custom tenders sit under the cart, with Hold, Delivery, Split and Print in a utility row. Card sales go straight to the integrated terminal without a separate payment screen.

Does SeroPOS have a kitchen display?

Yes. KDS Mode turns a tablet or screen into a kitchen display with ticket timers, station filters, line ticking, an All Day panel and a Recall panel for bumped orders. New tickets chime and are highlighted. Exiting KDS Mode needs manager credentials.

Can customers order from a kiosk?

Yes. Kiosk Mode turns a tablet or PC into a self-order screen. Customers choose items and modifiers, review the order and pay by card on the integrated terminal. The kiosk takes debit and credit only, and staff need a manager login to exit it.

Can several tills share orders at a busy counter?

Yes. Every till syncs to the back office, and on Pro, Server and Client mode links tills over your local network with a Windows PC as the server. Client tills share holds, the floor plan and the kitchen display, and keep working when the internet is down.
