Steps
- Open the reports hub. In the back office sidebar, click Accounting, then Reports in the module's top bar.
- Check the trial balance. Open Trial Balance to see every account's balance. Debits and credits should be equal; if not, look for an entry that posted to one side only.
- Run the balance sheet. Open Balance Sheet and pick the as-of date. Current-year earnings are worked out for you.
- Run the cash flow statement. Open the Statement of Cash Flows for a date range to see how cash moved through operating, investing and financing activities.
- Drill into one account. Open Ledger Report, choose an account and a date range to see each debit and credit.
- Check who owes what. Open Account Receivable Ageing Report (Summary) for customer balances by age, or the Details version for each invoice. The payable versions do the same for suppliers.
Which report answers which question

Good to know
These reports read the accounting ledger, so they include POS activity only once it is mapped to accounts. The core back office also has its own profit and loss and sales reports. Accounting is an add-on module. The Accounting item shows in the back office sidebar only when your subscription includes it and your role has the Accounting permissions.
Frequently asked questions
Why doesn't my trial balance match my sales report?
The trial balance only includes payments mapped to accounts. Check Accounting › Transactions for payments that aren't mapped yet, and set default mappings in Accounting › Settings so new sales post automatically.
Can I run a balance sheet for a past date?
Yes. The Balance Sheet takes an as-of date, so you can see your position on any day, such as your financial year end.
What's the difference between the ageing summary and details?
The summary shows one line per customer or supplier with amounts grouped by how overdue they are. The details version lists each open invoice or bill behind those totals.
