Table bookings with customer reminders
Take table bookings in the SeroPOS back office with the guest, the time slot and a note, and let the system tell the guest it is booked. Today's bookings sit on the screen when the shift starts.

Record a booking in a few fields
Bookings live in the web back office under Bookings. When a guest phones or walks in to book, staff choose the location, pick or add the customer, set the start and end time and add a note such as a birthday or a high chair. The correspondent field names the staff member who owns the booking.
Linking each booking to a customer record pays off later. The guest's visit history and contact details stay in one place, and if you run reward points, their balance sits on the same record. The next time they call, staff can see who they are, when they last came in and anything noted on their last visit.
Confirm the booking with the guest
Tick Send Email/SMS notification to customer and SeroPOS sends a confirmation as soon as the booking is saved. The wording comes from the New Booking template in Notification Templates, where tags pull in the guest's name, the date and time, and the location. Write it once in your own voice and every confirmation goes out the same way.
Email uses your system email settings or your own mail server. SMS uses the SMS settings in Business Settings. Set those up once, send a test from Business Settings to check the message arrives, and every booking confirmation after that goes out automatically whenever the box is ticked. Guests get their confirmation in seconds.

Know who is coming today
The bookings screen includes a feed of today's bookings, so the host can check names and times at the start of the shift. On the Tables screen, each table has a booking duration in minutes, which sets how long a booking holds the table by default. Staff can still adjust any single booking.
If your business uses the customer portal from the CRM on the Pro plan, customers with a portal login can also create and list their own table bookings by location. Those bookings land in the same list as the ones staff enter, so the host has every reservation in one place regardless of how it was made.
Setting it up
Turn on Enable Booking in Business Settings › Modules to add Bookings to the sidebar. Roles then decide who can use it: staff can be allowed to see all bookings or only their own. Bookings are part of the SeroPOS product, so the menu shows on POS businesses. Add the module once and it is ready.
Although the screen is built for restaurant tables, the same booking record works for appointment-style businesses, such as a salon booking a customer with a staff member for a time slot. Any business that books a person for a time slot with a member of staff can use the same screen without any extra setup.
Frequently asked questions
Where do I add a table booking?
Open Bookings in the web back office sidebar and add a booking. Choose the location and customer, set the staff member, the start and end time, and add any notes. If Bookings is missing, turn on Enable Booking in Business Settings › Modules.
Can SeroPOS send the guest a confirmation?
Yes. Tick Send Email/SMS notification to customer when you save the booking. The message uses the New Booking template in Notification Templates, which you can edit, with tags for the guest's details and booking time. Write the template once and every confirmation goes out the same way.
Can guests book online?
Customers who have a login to the customer portal, part of the CRM on the Pro plan, can create and list table bookings by location. There is no public booking widget for your website, so most bookings are entered by staff. Bookings from both routes appear in the same list.
How long does a booking hold a table?
Each booking has its own start and end time. On the Tables screen you can also set a booking duration in minutes for each table, which acts as the usual length of a booking at that table. Staff can change the end time on any booking.
Can staff see only their own bookings?
Yes. The Bookings permissions in a role can allow all bookings or only the bookings assigned to that user, so a server or stylist sees just their own list. Owners and managers can keep the full view of every booking.
