The till is for selling; the web back office is for running the business. Manage products and stock, enter purchases, create invoices, read reports and change settings from any browser, or open it from the SeroPOS app with one tap and a one-time link.

The dashboard
Sign in and the dashboard greets you with the numbers that matter: total sales, total purchases, invoices due, purchases due and expenses, for the location and dates you pick. Charts show sales over the last 30 days and the current financial year. Pick the location and dates at the top.
Below are the lists that need action: sales payments due in the next week, purchase payments due, products at or below their alert quantity and stock nearing expiry. A Today's Profit view gives a quick read on the day. Start the day here. These lists show what needs attention first.
Everything behind the till
The menu covers the whole business. Products holds the catalogue with variations, modifiers, units, categories, brands, selling price groups, barcode labels and bulk import and edit. Purchases, Stock Transfers and Stock Adjustment cover stock coming in and moving. Sell covers invoices, quotations, returns, shipments, discounts and receiving payments. Everything is in one menu.
Contacts holds customers and suppliers with their ledgers. Expenses and Payment Accounts track costs and where money sits. Settings covers business locations, invoice layouts and schemes, printers, tax rates, kitchen ticket routing and notification templates. Pro adds the CRM, and add-on modules add their own menus. Each menu appears only when its module is on and the user's role allows it.

Reports
The Reports menu has the daily sales report, profit and loss, purchase and sale, tax, contacts, customer groups, stock, expiry, lots, adjustments, trending products, items, product purchases and sales, payments, expenses, register sessions, sales representatives, tables, service staff and the activity log. Each filters by location and date and can be printed or exported.
The daily sales report is the same report emailed each night to the people you list on each location, so owners can read the day's figures without signing in. Recipients are set on each business location, and you can change them whenever the team changes. Owners away from the shop stay informed.
Getting in
The back office runs in any modern browser on a computer or tablet. Sign in with the same account you use in the app. Two-step verification protects the sign-in, and each person's role decides which menus they see. Staff only see what their role allows. Admins can see every menu.
From the app, open Admin, then Tools, then Back Office. A one-time link signs you in without typing your password, valid for 60 seconds. On Windows it opens inside the app; on other devices it opens in your browser. Business Settings has a search box for finding any setting quickly, and a choice of Classic or Enterprise theme.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need the back office to use SeroPOS?
You can run a simple setup from the app's Admin screens, which cover products, categories, taxes, staff, payment methods and printers. The back office adds purchases, invoices, the full set of reports and detailed settings, and is included with every plan.
How do I open the back office from the app?
In the app, open Admin, then Tools, then Back Office. A one-time link signs you in, valid for 60 seconds. It opens inside the app on Windows and in your browser elsewhere. You can also sign in at the back office directly.
Can I use the back office on a phone?
The back office runs in a browser and works best on a computer or tablet, where tables and reports have room. For quick tasks on a phone, the app's Admin screens are easier to use. Tablets in landscape work well for the back office, and phones are fine for a quick check of the dashboard.
Can staff see the back office?
Only if their role allows it. Roles control each back-office menu and action, so a cashier can be kept out entirely while a manager sees products and reports. Two-step verification can be required for everyone. Review roles when staff change jobs.
Which reports are in the back office?
Sales, profit and loss, tax, stock, expiry and lot, purchase and sale, payments, expenses, register sessions, staff and table reports, and more. Every report filters by location and date range. Most can be printed or exported for your accountant. Pick any range you like.
