SeroPOS and Loyverse at a glance

As of 2026, Loyverse offers a free POS app for iOS and Android, with paid add-ons for features such as employee management and advanced inventory. It is popular with small cafés, shops and kiosks around the world, and it is a sensible way to get started without a monthly bill.

SeroPOS is a paid POS app for restaurants and shops, with two monthly plans and a web back office. It runs on Windows, Mac, iPad, Android and phones, and connects directly to card terminals from Global Payments, Moneris or Gravity Payments. It is aimed at businesses that have outgrown a basic setup.

Integrated card payments

Loyverse integrates with some payment providers, depending on the country, as of 2026. In SeroPOS the cashier picks Debit or Credit and the amount goes to the terminal, so there is no retyping. Tips entered on the terminal print on the receipt. Each till can have its own terminal, set under Card Terminal for This Till.

A payment outbox keeps an approved charge until the sale is saved, a duplicate-charge guard warns before a card is charged twice, and Check on Terminal reads the batch if you're unsure. Send us a recent processing statement and we'll quote a rate. A terminal watchdog also emails a timeline if a transaction stalls.

Kitchen, kiosk and tables

SeroPOS's KDS Mode turns a tablet or PC into a kitchen display with On time, Attention and Late counters and an All Day panel. Kitchen tickets print to separate printers by category, product or food type. Kiosk Mode, in Standard, lets customers order and pay by card on a tablet or PC.

Tables, held orders and split bills are in Standard, and the floor plan designer and Server / Client multi-till are on Pro. Loyverse offers a kitchen display app and open tickets for restaurants; compare which tools you need at your volume. Reward points come with your own earning and redeeming rules.

Stock, accounting and reports

The SeroPOS back office covers purchases and receiving, stock transfers, stock adjustments, lot numbers, expiry dates, serial and IMEI numbers and barcode labels. Reports include profit and loss, tax, stock, expiry, trending products and register sessions, filtered by location and date. Most reports export or print from the back office.

On Pro, SeroPOS posts sales, payments, customers and items to QuickBooks Desktop, Canadian or US edition, and to QuickBooks Online for Canadian companies. Loyverse exports data and offers some integrations; if your accountant works in QuickBooks Desktop, that connection may be the deciding factor. Accountants can also be invited to the back office with a one-time code.

Switching from Loyverse

Most switches start with the product list. Export your items from Loyverse as a spreadsheet if it lets you, then match the columns to the SeroPOS product template and import it from the back office or the app's Import Products tool. Set categories, tax rates and modifiers first, so imported products land in the right place.

Before your first live day, run the 14-day trial on the devices you plan to use, connect your printer and card terminal, and do a few test sales and a refund. Check the end-of-day report against your test sales. If you need help, the in-app Live Support chat reaches our team from the Admin screen.
